As a Camp Wiggi Counselor, you'll spark imagination, build confidence, and lead unforgettable moments-from the first cannonball at swim time to the cheers at the end of Color War Week. Every day brings something new, and every moment has the power to make a difference.
What You'll Do - Lead camp activities like sports, arts & crafts, swimming, archery, STEAM projects, and field trips.
- Create a safe, positive, and energetic environment that celebrates YMCA's core values-Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Be a role model and mentor, encouraging campers to try new things, build friendships, and grow in confidence.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to plan creative theme days, games, and adventures that campers will never forget.
- Keep campers safe, engaged, and smiling from morning assembly to closing circle.

Requirements What We're Looking For - A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine love for working with kids.
- A team player who leads by example and embraces the YMCA mission.
- Strong communication, creativity, and patience-with the ability to bring the fun while staying focused on safety.
- A commitment to helping every camper feel included, supported, and inspired.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- CPR & First Aid certifications (training provided during onboarding).
- Ability to pass a background check and provide proof of immunizations and physician clearance.
- A strong work ethic, flexibility, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
