Job Description

A full-time School Social Worker position is available for the October through January contract in an elementary school setting serving grades K-5 in Berlin, CT. This role focuses on supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of young students within the school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential
• Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5) preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community resources
• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being and academic success
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
• Facilitate referrals to external community resources and monitor student progress

Contract Duration: October through January (Full-time)
