Job Description Job Description Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Store Manager As a Retail Production Supervisor, you will provide direction and oversight to team members working in thrift store production in a designated warehouse space at the back of the store. Qualified candidates will have supervisory experience in a production environment. Retail experience is a plus! Why City Thrift? Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Communicate regularly, operating targets and progress against standards and expectations. Hire, select, teach, train, develop, coach and counsel employees as needed. Motivate the team regularly and ensure efficient operations by troubleshooting bottlenecks and working side by side with team members through the processes. Ability to handle the physical requirements of sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing and twisting on an intermittent or continuous basis Utilize all employees efficiently and effectively to achieve production quotas Develops staff by recruiting talent, engaging employees, orienting new hires, and training to company policy and procedures Rotate and cross train employees in order that they may be able to do several jobs as necessary Monitors performance through the use of employee attainment recordkeeping High energy level, strong leadership skills, independent thinker Maintains clean work environment Teach, train and coach team members to standard Ensure all merchandise is priced according to standards Oversight and quality control is maintained for items going to both sales floor and export Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Data Driven – tracks and evaluates employee performance Integrity – maintains high standards in all activities Collaboration – able to work with and through others Comfortable interacting with customers and hourly employees Efficient – produces significant results with minimized effort Follow-through – meets commitments Communication – strong verbal and writing skills Education, Experience, Training Required: ~ High School Diploma or GED preferred ~ Must be at least 21 years of age ~2-5 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably with a big box chain. ~ Consumer retail or thrift businesses preferred ~2 years or more of managing teams through goal setting, productivity measurements and achieving targeted results ~ Past line management experience not limited to hiring, termination, performance review, and policy adherence.
