SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience & education in construction estimating and project management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, site processes, and job flow
- Proficient in Macintosh systems and comfortable with digital estimating and project tools
- Spanish & English Proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for site visits
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Build Reliable Estimates and Streamlined Change Order Processes
- Accurately prepare landscape construction estimates based on design plans and field assessments
- Prepare and process change orders as needed during project execution
- Track and report cost variances to ensure budget adherence throughout projects
- Collaborate with design teams to validate estimates against project specifications
Drive Timely and High-Quality Project Delivery with Strong Client Engagement
- Conduct thorough pre and post-construction job walks to ensure scope accuracy and client satisfaction
- Oversee weekly job site visits to ensure timelines, quality standards, and budgets are met
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent and professional communication
- Implement quality control measures to uphold project standards and client expectations
Ensure Smooth Project Operations Through Effective Utility, Supplier, and Permit Management
- Submit and manage Dig Alert notifications and coordinate with utility providers as needed
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project flow
- Manage city permitting process
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and utility requirements to avoid project delays
- Maintain accurate records of permits and subcontractor agreements for audit purposes
Manage Concurrent Projects and Inspections for Consistent Success
- Monitor and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met
- Submit permits and coordinate inspections with city officials
- Prioritize tasks across projects to optimize resource allocation and scheduling
- Conduct post-inspection reviews to address findings and ensure high quality
Ensure Efficient Supply Chain Management for Seamless Construction
- Handle material purchasing and timely deliveries
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective materials and contracts
- Coordinate with project teams to align material availability with construction timelines
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality of materials
