Position Overview:

As a valued member of our pharmacy team, you will play an essential role in delivering our mission of improving access and quality of care while reducing costs. As a Pharmacy Intern Trainee, you’ll contribute to ensuring a safe and supportive retail pharmacy work environment under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining patient safety
• Contributing to pharmacy professional practice
• Meeting regulatory requirements
• Ensuring quality assurance
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Managing inventory
• Assisting with workflow management (excluding final prescription verification)

Your Responsibilities:

In this internship, you will lead initiatives that promote patient health through care programs. Additionally, you will:

• Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients, customers, and colleagues
• Explore innovative ways to enhance collaboration and outcomes

• Foster a team environment filled with pride, energy, and enthusiasm

Education Requirements:

• Currently enrolled or accepted into an ACPE accredited pharmacy program

Essential Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Valid intern or technician licensure (or in process of obtaining)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Commitment to completing necessary training within specified timeframes
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods
• Capacity to lift, scan, and bag items periodically
• Manual dexterity for tasks such as typing and picking
• Adequate visual acuity for tasks like transcribing and inspecting items
• Capability to communicate effectively with team members and customers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Immunization eligibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Aiming to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met, a vital function of pharmacists

Compensation:

Typical pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.50 .
