Part-Time Nanny (Medical Experience Required) – Wellesley, MA
A loving family in Wellesley, MA is seeking a dependable, caring, and proactive part-time nanny with medical experience to support their busy household. The family has three children (ages 9, 6, and 4) and a friendly dog, so candidates must be comfortable around pets. The role includes working alongside a stay-at-home mother, assisting with childcare, driving, and supporting the family’s daily routine.
The family’s youngest child (age 4) has Type 1 Diabetes and requires close monitoring and support. Because of their age, they are unable to manage the condition independently, so the nanny will play an important role in helping to monitor blood sugar and administer insulin when needed. A background in the medical field, nursing, or nursing studies is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Monitor blood sugar using an arm device (alerts show highs and lows)
Be attentive and proactive in managing insulin needs
Administer insulin before meals (child has a pump that must be used correctly)
Ensure snacks are given before meals and help maintain stable blood sugar throughout the day
Work closely with the mother to stay consistent with the care routine
Understand that while the school nurse manages diabetes during school hours, care requires constant monitoring at home
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 12 PM – 8 PM
Tuesday, Thursday: 3 PM – 8 PM
Some flexibility is possible if the nanny’s schedule requires adjustments.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $35–$40 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Position Type: Long-term or for the school year
Benefits: Paid time off, major holidays
Guaranteed 34 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving care for three children (ages 9, 6, and 4)
Manage the 4-year-old’s diabetes care in collaboration with the mother
Drive children to and from afternoon activities

Work as a supportive team member with the mother
Qualifications
Medical experience required (nursing student, nurse, or medical background strongly encouraged)
Previous childcare or nanny experience preferred
CPR and First Aid certification (required)
Valid driver’s license (driving required during work hours)
Dependable, proactive, and calm under pressure
Spanish speaking a plus
