Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. Job Description Assist with planning community meetings and functions Research feature opportunities for community segments and shows Write engaging solution-focused articles for station websites Assist with planning and set up of dynamic live shots in the community Thought leader on digital community engagement opportunities Demonstrate good judgment, resourcefulness, confidence, and a positive attitude in response to viewer comments and requests Utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs in execution of assignments Must be able to manage multiple assignments with short deadlines Spanish language writing and speaking proficiency a plus Basic Qualifications In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits) Must be 18 years of age or older Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal Need to be able to work on-site in Needham, MA Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit. Desired Qualifications Desired Backgrounds Include: Journalism or Broadcast Journalism, Digital/New Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Production, English, Social Media, Research.
