Role Overview

Vitable Health is looking for a passionate and skilled Per Diem Mental Health Coach to provide flexible, one-on-one coaching and support to our members via our digital platform. This is a non-clinical role focused on skill-building and goal-setting with an expected commitment of 7-10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with members to provide non-clinical mental health coaching and support
• Collaborate with members to identify personal goals related to mental wellness, such as improving coping skills, managing stress, or enhancing self-care practices
• Teach and reinforce practical, evidence-based skills for managing mental health challenges, such as mindfulness exercises, positive reframing, and communication techniques
• Collaborate closely with providers and support staff to ensure seamless, coordinated care
• Accurately document sessions and interactions in electronic health records
• Stay aligned with Vitable Health's policies and complete all required training

Candidate Requirements

• 3+ Years providing mental health support
• Experience providing coaching services virtually
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, particularly those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds
• Strong understanding of evidence-based mental health coaching techniques (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused coaching)
• Deep empathy and cultural humility, with a non-judgmental approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related human services field.
• Certification or specialized training in mental health coaching, peer support, or a related field.
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth company
• Ideal candidate will be interested in scaling their hours as our company grows
