Provide clerical and administrative support to the Air Force Accession Center and MEPS locations. Assist with obtaining, reviewing, and organizing medical documentation to expedite applicant medical processing for enlistment. Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all HIPAA, DoD, and AFAC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve, organize, and update applicant medical records from military and civilian sources.
• Ensure medical records arrive prior to scheduled appointments.
• Review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency within established guidelines.
• Obtain documentation as requested by healthcare providers (e.g., test results, missing documents).
• Relay general instructions to applicants and refer to other MEPS sections when appropriate.
• Input, track, and update status in Air Force Recruiting Information Support System (AFRISS).
• Maintain effective communication with MEPS, recruiters, and medical facilities.
• Protect all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Complete all required AFAC and DoD training (HIPAA, OPSEC, Anti-Terrorism, MHS GENESIS, etc.).

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Government Secret Clearance.
• Ability to complete all required training (HIPAA, Privacy Act, OPSEC, Anti-Terrorism, etc.).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow security procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in medical, healthcare, or administrative office environments.
• Familiarity with DoD medical and personnel systems (AHLTA, CHCS/MHS GENESIS, DEERS, AFRISS).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical record-keeping procedures.
• Previous experience working with HIPAA-protected health information.
• Prior military or government contracting experience.
