C.H.I. Overhead Doors is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to help us meet our goals for 2025 and beyond. The Mechanical Engineer will perform engineering duties in planning and designing residential/commercial garage doors, hardware components, and other infrastructure. This role works collaboratively with internal and external customers, industry and building products experts, and other resources to develop these products and processes for the organization. Additional Responsibilities: Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Troubleshoot defects to determine root cause failures and implement innovative product, process, and equipment countermeasures. Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of products, equipment, components, or systems. Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications, and necessity of modification. Estimate component, capital, and manufacturing costs for product designs. Design Documentation – Modeling; Drawings; Mfg.; Bill of Materials; QC Forms; Operator's, Maintenance, Parts, Etc. Manuals (Detail Oriented). Compensation Data Starting Base Salary Range: $81,994-$115,378 ROA Bonus ROA Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon company performance each year, up to 33% of annual salary. Profit-Sharing 10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings.
