Job Description
Acer Landscaping Services, a commercial landscape company with headquarters in Nashville, TN, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to help oversee commercial landscaping projects across the Middle TN region. The right candidate will understand and engage in project management software, experience in leading and managing crews, ensure quality and safety of staff on jobs, and apply consistent communication with teams, customers, and company stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, implement, and oversee all aspects of the respective client’s construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor project progress and performance and implement necessary changes to ensure project success.
- Identify and manage risks.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and progress.
- Create purchase orders prior to initiating a purchase.
- Review the accuracy and completeness of work tickets to include allocation of material costs and labor hours.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and present project status reports (progress, problems, and solutions) to supervisor, senior management and clients.
- Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables.
- Ensure jobs are completed in a cost-efficient manner per company standards and budget guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry (landscape construction is highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of landscape construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan ahead and forecast forward (strategic planning).
- Proven conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (experience with Aspire a plus).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual is a plus but is not required.
Base Salary: Based upon experience and skill set
Medical Insurance: Eligible for Medical, Dental and Vision (cost-share) after 90 days
Life Insurance: Voluntary plans after 90 days
Personal Time Off: All major holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving,Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) plus vacation days
Miscellaneous: Provided by ACER (company vehicle, laptop computer, and work phone)
