Summary: Trains and educates the systemwide health information managers (HIM) coding staff and ensures coders and contracted vendors are performing their job to the highest accuracy and compliance possible. Maintains extensive knowledge of all coding standards and can effectively communicate with all appropriate individuals. Education: Essential: Tech/Trade Certification Graduate of accredited HIM/Coding program Experience: Essential: 3-5 years of inpatient and outpatient coding experience. Experience in education/training and auditing coded records.
