Job Description Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our
Asheville plant as an
Extrusion Lamination Operator ! (see details below)
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Monday - Thursday night shift EXTRUSION LAMINATION OPERATOR OVERVIEW: Operate either an adhesive laminator or an extrusion laminator in a safe manner that will ensure a quality product is made.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO: - Follow all safety rules and proper chemical handling processes
- Perform setup and operate machine to produce product according to quality and productivity requirements
- Troubleshoot equipment, web handling, production and laminating issues
- Inspect quality and identify and correct defects
- Assist in training other personnel
- Assumes responsibility for the quality and quantity produced on the machine
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU: - Two years of operating experience preferred. One year adhesive lamination or extrusion lamination experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with rulers, gauges, and calipers.
- Effective communication skills, teamwork abilities, and self-reliance for independent decision-making.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Proficiency with computers and a willingness to learn additional programs.
- Visual acuity to identify imperfections and deviations from specifications.
- Knowledge of safety precautions and ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Lift cartons up to 50 lbs and assist with lifting 90+ lbs shaft/core combinations using a hoist system.
- Stand for extended periods and perform tasks like climbing, crouching, and reaching.
