Dishwasher

Now hiring dishwashers at Down on Grayson in the Pearl District! This is a great entry-level position into the restaurant industry with excellent pay potential, and no experience is necessary. As a dishwasher, your primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our employees.

Where you will work - Down on Grayson

In the heart of San Antonio’s vibrant Pearl District, Down on Grayson is a casual modern-American dining spot nestled in Tobin Hill just steps from the Pearl. Refined but not pretentious, our menu offers chic updates on old favorites like crispy Brussels and a butter-topped Filet.

Our indoor dining room is a beautifully bright space with plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows. Often voted the best in town, our dog-friendly outdoor patio is one of the largest, most Instagrammed patios in the area, known for our signature black and white umbrellas.

What you will do

• Maintain a clean kitchen and dish area by making sure they are free of clutter and organized
• Clean and wash dishes, cutlery, cooking tools, etc.
• Clean machines and appliances, if needed
• Supporting other restaurant staff by assisting in other tasks

What you bring - minimum qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid and current Food Handlers certification
• Must be able to work at least 3 days a week, including weekends and holidays

Physical requirements and working conditions

• Must be able to stand and walk for 6 or more hours in a day
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and over 50 lbs. with assistance
• Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, and walking
• Exposure to loud noise, large crowds, and extreme hot/cold temperatures
