This role is remote within Costa Rica.

GreenSlate is transforming the business of content production by helping film and television producers stay at the forefront of technology. Our innovative entertainment payroll and business services software, combined with our highly responsive service, dramatically improves our clients' ability to sustainably manage their productions.

We are seeking a Data Engineer to help us develop the entertainment industry's most advanced production finance application by growing the usage of our Snowflake data warehouse through sharing data directly with clients, building models and Snowflake AI Agents to incorporate into our web app, and building reports to support clients, 3rd party integrations, and internal needs. This role requires excellent engineering talent. You will work under our Lead Data Engineer and work closely with the Engineering and Client Solutions teams to move rapidly from concept to execution. WHO YOU ARE

• Thought leadership of data management and architectures
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including star schema and snowflake schema design for both structured and unstructured data
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data ingestion, transformation, and performance optimization ideal
• Experience with building and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), Data Modeling and Data Science
• Experience with integrating data with 3rd party applications through APIs or flat files ideal
• Solid knowledge of data processing languages, such as SQL, Python, or Scala
• Operational database management experience such as MS-SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres etc.
• Strong knowledge of data compliance, security and risk management best practices
• Scripting for pipeline and infrastructure as code an asset
• Experience training AI agents on modeled data an asset
• Experience with cloud based data management tools (AWS, Azure, GCP) an asset
• Certifications (such as BDSCP modules or similar training) an asset

SALARY RANGE: $4166-$5000/mo
