Under the supervision of the Correctional Counselor III (C&PR), the Correctional Case Records Manager manages and directs a wide variety of inmate records functions with the ultimate responsibility for security and integrity of the inmate files. The Correctional Case Records Manager is liaison with departmental counsel, courts, administrators, law enforcement agencies, Attorney General, Board of Prison terms and other jurisdictions. He/she will represent the State as an expert witness; identify needs, develop and submit budget proposals, review and direct implementation of policy, procedure and legislative statues; serve on special committees as requested; make decisions on first level inmate appeals; interview applicants and make recommendations to fill Records Office positions and supervise and train subordinate staff. 3. Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
