Job Title: Staff / Senior Accountant

Location: Gladwyne, PA

Compensation: $70,000 – $78,000 / (Direct Hire)

A mission-driven, nonprofit organization located on a scenic campus in the Philadelphia suburbs is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Staff or Senior Accountant . This community-oriented employer provides comprehensive care and residential living services to individuals across multiple levels of need, from independent living to skilled nursing. The business office plays a key role in supporting the financial integrity and long-term sustainability of the organization.

This full-time accounting role will contribute to monthly close processes, financial analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams.

• Perform monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations across multiple entities
• Prepare and post journal entries to support the month-end close
• Record deposits and payments accurately and timely
• Generate financial reports and internal analyses to support leadership decisions
• Assist with budgeting efforts, including labor, operating, and capital budgets
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure financial accuracy
• Step in to support various business office functions as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required)
• Experience with general ledger and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, organized, and collaborative
